Our Terrain
With 240 acres of skiable/rideable terrain, Snow Valley is among the largest ski areas in Southern California.
Southern California’s Best Beginner Terrain:

Snow Valley has Southern California’s Best Beginner Terrain. Lifts 6, 7*, 13 & 14* service our beginner terrain. Our beginner trails include the legendary Thunder Mountain which was often a favorite place for Warren Miller to film and was featured in his films. Besides Thunder Mountain, beginners can enjoy Coyote Flats, Eagle Flats and Children’s Learning Center participants will enjoy their own exclusive beginner slopes serviced by Lifts 7 & 14.

Long Cruising Intermediate Runs:

Snow Valley’s intermediate runs include some of the longest trails in the region. From Graduation progress to our upper mountain trails like Upper & Lower Wine Rock plus Mambo Alley among others. Did you know you can ski nearly 1.25 miles of intermediate terrain from the top of the Snow Valley Express to the base area? There is plenty of room to ski and snowboard at Snow Valley!
The Steeps:

On the front mountain challenge yourself with black diamond fun on runs like Little Bowl, Big Bowl and Show Off. And did you know the front mountain is also home to a double black diamond trail? The Ladder offers a steep and challenge filled descent to the lower mountain.

Slide Peak:

Far above the tree line, you’ll get the feeling you’re on top of the world when you reach the summit of Slide Peak. The Face of Slide offers some of the steepest terrain around on trails like Show Me and Snake Run. Slide Peak isn’t just for advanced skiers and snowboarders; intermediate trails can be found on the western portion of Nord Valley and West Slide. Skiers and snowboarders often comment how Slide Peak feels like its own separate ski area. Come up and challenge yourself, explore and enjoy all that Slide Peak has to offer!
